Last Minute Preps at the
Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum

April 15, 2010

Final touches are being put on the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum as hundreds will gather over the weekend and for the official Remembrance Ceremony on Monday, April 19th, to remember the 168 who were killed 15 years ago. A new sign for the Museum, that tells the story of what happened and puts human faces to the victims of terrorism, was mounted this morning on the southside of the building facing the Outdoor Symbolic Memorial. "So many people come here and don’t realize the 'rest of the story' is inside. The Memorial was designed to be symbolic and the Museum was designed to tell you the facts of the story. The new sign will hopefully educate visitors about the existence of the world-renowned museum," said Kari Watkins, Executive Director of the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum.

The Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum is owned, operated and maintained by the Oklahoma City National Memorial Foundation, a private 501(c)(3) that raised $29 million to build the two components.
