10th Annual Memorial Marathon Was a Huge Success!

May 25, 2010
More than 20 volunteer Memorial Marathon chairmen met today to review the success of the 10th annual Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon and begin making preliminary plans for next year. This year's event boasted 22,000 runners from 49 states and 7 foreign countries. From a 92 year-old to infants, participants spanned the generations. With more participants, spectators, volunteers and sponsors, the 10th annual Marathon was the culmination of a year’s work by an incredibly dedicated corps of volunteers.
Congratulations to our Men's Champion Josh Stewart from Ada, Oklahoma, who came in with a time of 2:34:26 and our two-time Women's Champion Catherine Lisle from Oklahoma City, who shattered the Memorial Marathon course record with a time of 2:54:22. Thank you to all who ran, walked, cheered and helped during this record-breaking Run to Remember
Mark your calendars now for the 11th annual Memorial Marathon scheduled for May 1, 2011. Registration will open Labor Day weekend.
