Retired DEA Agents Experience
A Moment and 15 Years Later

June 09, 2010

The Association of Former Federal Narcotic Agents toured the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum with one of their youngest Oklahoma City employees, Jordan Turner, who lost her mother on April 19, 1995. Shelly Turner Bland was the asset forfeiture specialist for the Drug Enforcement Agency, on April 19, 1995, when Jordan was only four years old. Oklahoma Supreme Court Justice Joseph Watt and former Oklahoma City DEA Agent Doc Shannon accompanied the AFFNA group as Jordan proudly shared her mother’s picture in the Gallery of Honor at the Museum. The tour was part of a meeting of Texas and Oklahoma retired agents directed by Dallas Special Agent in Charge James Cappra and organized by Assistant Special Agent in Charge Jim Akagi.
