New Resources Planned for Teaching
About the Bombing

June 16, 2010

Lesson plans specifically targeted for meeting new social studies standards and the Oklahoma History requirement included in House Bill 2750, signed by Governor Brad Henry at the Memorial Museum on April 6, 2010, will be available on the Memorial’s website beginning July 1. A timeline, annotated bibliography, videos and a variety of resources will assist educators in incorporating the story of the April 19, 1995, bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building into their classes. The Memorial’s Education & Research Committee met today to review the new materials.

History teachers and administrators are invited to be guests Fridays this summer to tour the Museum and experience a First Person – Stories of Hope program. Click here for more information.
