Volunteers Invite Friends to Experience the Memorial Museum

Today, the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum welcomed volunteers and their guests for a special "invite a friend" event. Executive Director Kari Watkins outlined the history and importance of the Memorial Volunteer Program (MVP) to assist visitors experience the lessons learned of Oklahoma City bombing and the "Oklahoma Standard." Marguerite Christman, 2009 Outstanding MVP, spoke to the group regarding how being a volunteer at the Memorial has impacted her life after being changed forever by the events of April 19, 1995. The program included a MVP guided tour of the Memorial Museum and a special First Person program by FBI bomb technician Barry Black. Visitor Services Director Joanne Riley ended the special event with emphasizing the need for Memorial volunteers.
