Memorial Honored With Beautification Award

The Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum joined two other private citizens in being named OKC Beautiful’s September Monthly Beautification Award winners.

"The Oklahoma City National Memorial received the Organization Award for their hard work to beautify a national treasure," said Nicki Largent, Program Manager.

The home of the Alden family, located at 915 N.W. 14, was selected as the Residential Award winner. Linda Alden has been an active gardener since junior high. The Sonic restaurant at 120 S.E. 29 received the Commercial Award for their colorful and sprawling landscape.

Kari Watkins, Memorial Executive Director, said, “We clearly are very proud of how the Memorial looks and we are even more proud of what is has become to our city.”
