Construction Surrounds Memorial

September 17, 2010
Don’t let the orange construction fencing down Harvey Avenue scare you away from making a trip to the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum. Project 180 is well underway and in a matter of months, 180 acres of downtown Oklahoma City will have new streets and streetscape that will rival any other major city.
The sidewalk along Harvey Avenue and the 9:03 Gate remains open for foot traffic. If you are looking for parking along the west side of the Memorial, meter spots are available south of 4th Street on Harvey or on 6th Street between Harvey and Hudson Avenues. Parking on the east side of the Memorial is available in metered spots along 5th Street or there is a parking lot at 5th & Robinson---directly across from the Memorial. Walk west on the black pathway and you’ll be at the Museum entrance. That’s a great place to start your experience!
While some roads are closed, others remain open. Our business hours haven’t changed and we would love to tell you the most amazing story of resilience this country has ever witnessed. Stop by and learn how this city has overcome the terrorist attack in 1995 and how today we remember and educate.
If you are coming this way, check the Project180 section on our website for the latest directions.
We hope to see you soon!
