Memorial Staff Participates in
AASLH Annual Conference

Stacey Weddington, Development Director and Lynne Roller, Director of Education & Research, made presentations today at the American Association of State and Local History / Oklahoma Museums Association conference. Stacey Weddington’s topic was Money vs. Mission. Her presentation focused on finding the delicate balance between matching the needs of the organization and the motivations of current and potential donors. Roller spoke with educators and interpreters about Respect, Resilience & Responsibility: Lessons Learned from Violence & Terrorism. The presentation included a First Person talk by survivor and Memorial Foundation Trustee Amy Petty.
Friday, Collections Manager Helen Stiefmiller will participate in Weathering the Storm: Memorializing What Has Been Lost and Director of IT & Web Services Dustin Potter will speak in How Smart Phones Can Impact Historical Organizations.
Nearly 1,000 historians and museum professionals from across the nation are in Oklahoma City this week for the national conference.
