2011 Memorial Marathon Planning Kicks Off With
Chairman Meeting

The Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon chairmen met today to begin outlining plans for the 11th Annual Run to Remember to be held on May 1, 2011. The Memorial Marathon is an all-volunteer organization. The 26 chairmen oversee the corps of more than 6,000 volunteers it takes to plan and carry out the Marathon weekend's events.
The goal of the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon is to celebrate life, reach for the future, honor their memories and unite the world in hope. This is not just another marathon. It is a race to remember... and a race to show that we can each make a difference and change the world.
