Creativity in Community
Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum

November 16, 2010
Welcome to Oklahoma City! We are thrilled you are here to celebrate creativity. We hope you will find an extra hour or two to visit the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum while you are in town so that you see one of this city’s most creative projects.
It was just months after the bombing in 1995, a group of creative Oklahomans gathered together to imagine what this site would become. Five years later, the Oklahoma City National Memorial was constructed and opened after the design was discovered through an international design competition. Nine months later, the Memorial Museum opened its doors. Visitors have come from around the world to experience what the very best, brightest and most creative museum designers in the world competed to design. In 2011, we will welcome the two millionth visitor through our doors. While this Memorial and Museum was created on the site of the worst act of domestic terrorism in the United States, today it stands as a symbol of resilience and resolve.
We invite you to bring your World Creativity Forum badge and receive $2 off the admission price to the Museum all week. Come see for yourself how a community came together in a creative fashion and built this Memorial that world is talking about.
