The Survivor Tree, a 90 year-old American elm, bears witness to the violence of April 19th and now stands at the highest point of the Oklahoma City National Memorial. Today the tree is a symbol of human resilience. Each spring, seeds are gathered and seedlings are grown so the Survivor Tree can spread its branches around the country. This leaf ornament, molded from a leaf of the Survivor Tree, is a reminder that the spirit of the city and this nation will not be defeated; our deeply rooted faith sustains us.
