How to Give Your End-of-Year Gift

December 22, 2010

The Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum depends upon the generous contributions of this caring community. Hundreds of supporters have already contributed to our annual fund. By their actions, they have reflected their optimism for a world in which peace and hope can survive and blossom despite the tragedy and chaos of violence. We would be honored if you would consider making a tax-deductible end-of-year gift. By doing so, you will be listed as one of our 2010 Guardians of the Memorial.

Please make your end-of-year gift by December 31, 2010.

Here are ways you can donate

  • Cash gifts - made in person by December 31, 2010 (please do not mail cash)
  • Checks - postmarked by December 31, 2010, made payable to Oklahoma City National Memorial and mailed to PO Box 323, Oklahoma City, OK, 73101-0323
  • Credit card - made in person or over the phone by calling 405.235.3313 or 888.542.HOPE and asking for Stacey Weddington, Julie Likes or Laurie Barton
  • Online giving - via our secure website

IRA direct rollovers – If you are 70 ½ or older, you can make up to a $100,000 gift from your traditional or Roth IRA to the Oklahoma City National Memorial. The amount of the gift is not deductible, but it will not be included as taxable income in the year made. Contact Stacey Weddington or Laurie Barton for more information

Stock transfers – coordinated through your broker. The Oklahoma City National Memorial can accept transfers of stock as a charitable gift. A gift of appreciated securities allows you to take a charitable deduction for the value of the gift on the date of transfer to the Memorial’s account, while avoiding payment of capital gains tax on the appreciated value. Contact Stacey Weddington or Laurie Barton for more information

Planned giving – through trusts or estates by contacting Stacey Weddington or Laurie Barton. You can give in honor or memory of a loved one or friend by letting us know the name of that person at the time of your gift.

You can also make a gift anonymously if you wish to keep your generosity private.
