Museum Builders...
Michal Carr

January 31, 2011
It takes a thousand people to tell a single story...
Ancient Native American proverb
Each day between now and February 19th, you will hear from one of the Museum builders. More than a decade ago, people throughout this community gathered to build the Memorial and Museum. This process was like none other. We sought the help of some of the best people from around the country that had done this before to help our community build this special place.
Michal Carr led the team from Hillmann & Carr to produce more than two dozen videos to tell the story of the Oklahoma City bombing. Listen to Michal’s perspective as she reflects on the creation of the Oklahoma City National Memorial Museum.
For the past decade, the Museum has been telling the story of the Oklahoma City bombing and fulfilling the Memorial Mission. It is important that such a tribute in no way diminish the tragedy, but rather, that it offer an inspiring contrast between the brutality of the evil and the tenderness of the response.
Make plans now to visit the Memorial Museum during the 10th Birthday celebration on Saturday, February 19th from 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Museum admission will be free courtesy of Devon Energy.
