Museum Builders...
Bob Johnson

February 03, 2011
It takes a thousand voices to tell a single story...
Ancient Native American proverb
Each day between now and February 19th, you will hear from one of the Museum builders. More than a decade ago, people through this community came together to build the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum. This process was like none other. We sought some of the best museum experts to help our community build this special place. On Saturday, February 19th, the Museum turns 10!
Bob Johnson was the founding chair of the Oklahoma City National Memorial Foundation. He led the process and the Board of Trustees through the building the Memorial and Museum. Listen to Bob recount his stories of putting the Museum together piece by piece.
Make plans now to visit the Memorial Museum during the 10th Birthday celebration on Saturday, February 19th from 9:00-6:00 p.m. Museum admission is free on this day courtesy of Devon Energy. Hear the “Builders” tell their stories in a special talk for the public at 1:00 p.m. in the Museum.
