Museum Builders...
Cheryl Vaught

It takes a thousand voices to tell a single story...
Ancient Native American proverb
The Oklahoma City National Memorial Museum turns 10 on Saturday, February 19th. Each day leading up to the special celebration, we are featuring one of the Museum builders on our website. Cheryl Vaught was an active community volunteer who served the American Red Cross during the bombing and then was asked to serve on the Memorial Task Force and later as a board member of the Oklahoma City National Memorial Foundation. Cheryl was instrumental in guiding the family member, survivor and rescue worker committee for the first five years of this process. She worked with Toby Thompson, Phillip Thompson, Kathleen Treanor, Kim Jones-Shelton and Tim O’Connor in establishing this working committee where every major idea would be processed and cleared before tackling the next issue. Cheryl later helped on the Museum working group that would define and design the Museum you see today. Listen to Cheryl talk about how her involvement changed her life.
Join us for the Museum Turns 10 Celebration on Saturday, February 19th at noon for cake and ice cream followed by a Museum Builders First Person panel at 1:00. Museum admission is free on this special day courtesy of Devon Energy.
