Museum Builders...
Chief Gary Marrs

February 16, 2011
It takes a thousand voices to tell a single story…
Ancient Native America proverb
The Oklahoma City National Memorial Museum turns 10 this Saturday, February 19th. We have been posting a video everyday leading up to this special birthday featuring one of the Museum builders. Chief Gary Marrs was the Fire Chief of the Oklahoma City Fire Department on April 19, 1995. He was the incident commander of the rescue and recovery site. Today, he is a councilman for the city of Oklahoma City. He served on the Museum Working Group that designed and developed the content for the Museum.
Listen to Chief Marrs talk about the Memorial Museum and why this story has taught many Lessons Learned to fellow rescue workers.
Hear Chief Marrs and the other Museum builders this Saturday at the birthday celebration beginning at noon with cake and ice cream. Museum admission is free on this special day courtesy of Devon Energy.
