2011 Essay Contest Winners
Recognized in House of Representatives

Winners in the Memorial’s tenth annual Student Essay Contest were recognized today by the House of Representatives at the Oklahoma State Capitol. State winners MeLinda Keller, James Hood and Kittie Richardson, Sequoyah Middle School, Edmond; Connor Garrett and Whitney Davis, Cheyenne Middle School, Edmond; Abbie Stewart, Duncan Middle School, Duncan; Amy Smith, Westmoore High School, Moore; and Alyssa Rudelis, Deer Creek High School, Edmond, were recognized from the House floor by Representative Lee Denney and Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum Executive Director Kari Watkins. Citations from winners’ state representatives were also presented.
Winning essays are placed in the Museum’s Virtual Archives for one year and are also available on the Memorial’s website.
