Criminology Students Tour Archives

Dr. Neal McNabb and students in his criminology course on extremism and terrorism at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa, toured the Memorial Archives and Special Collections today. Collections Manager Helen Stiefmiller discussed the six areas in which the Memorial collects, which are the history of the site including the incident, rescue and recovery, reaction to the incident, implications and ramifications of the incident, trial and investigation and the memorial process. Students viewed artifacts and documents from each of the areas, as well as metal pieces from the Ryder truck.
