New York Times Journalists Found in Libya

March 18, 2011
Four New York Times journalists including Anthony Shadid, Oklahoma native, two time Pulitzer Prize winner and Beirut bureau chief who were reported missing while covering the Libyan conflict have been found, the newspaper said Friday. Shadid was at the Memorial Museum on February 26 presenting a workshop in conjunction with the Memorial's exhibit Reporting Terrorism. The Times reported on its website that the four were captured by forces loyal to Moammar Gadhafi and will be released Friday. We are grateful they have been located and look forward to their safe return.
