OKC Beautiful Visionary Award

Today, more than 600 people were a part of the annual OKC Beautiful Service Awards Luncheon. The Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum was named the recipient of the 2011 Visionary Award. This award goes to a person or organization that creates, operates and sustains programs, projects or plantings that benefit the Oklahoma City metro area.
Executive Director Kari Watkins and Director of Facilities & Construction Gabriel Taylor accepted the award on behalf of the Memorial and Museum. “We are honored to receive this award and thank OKC Beautiful for the work they do for our city and for the help they have provided us over the years,” Watkins told the crowd. “We work hard to make this site beautiful and are appreciative of the recognition. Our thanks to our partners Oakley’s Inc., Landscape and Maintenance Contractors for their 16 years of working with us making this one of the most beautiful sites in Oklahoma City. “
