Don't Miss the Memorial's Newspapers
in Education Lessons in April!

April 26, 2011

Each Tuesday in April, lessons from the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum will be featured in The Oklahoman’s Newspapers in Education program. Schools across the state participate in this program, which provides free newspapers for classroom use. The Memorial lessons focus on Called2Change, which emphasizes the importance of respect, resilience and responsibility, and the Kids Marathon, which encourages healthy choices. By learning what happened on April 19, 1995, students have a greater understanding of the impact of violence and what they can do to make the world a better place.

Click Here for today’s lesson about the Kids Marathon. Online registration for this year’s Kids Marathon is closed, however there are a limited number of spots available. You may register for these spots at the Health & Fitness Expo starting at noon on Friday, April 29th. Visit OKCMarathon.com for more information.
