FBI Bomb Technician Shares First Person Story with Students

May 06, 2011
Barry Black, FBI Special Agent/Bomb Technician, shared his story with more than 600 students visiting the Memorial and Museum today. Groups from Del Crest Middle School, Piedmont Middle School, and Grove Middle School experienced a First Person – Stories of Hope program as part of their visit to the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum. In addition to telling his story, Black answered questions from the students. First assigned to the Evidence Response Team, Black was moved to the OKBOMB Task Force, where he took possession of Timothy McVeigh’s vehicle and managed the Evidence Control Center. He was called to testify during the trial and provided technical/security support.
First Person programs are scheduled by appointment for groups visiting the Museum. A Summer Series begins Friday, June 3, at 1:30 and continues weekly through August 26. Click here for more information about First Person – Stories of Hope.
