Taft Seventh Graders Experience the Memorial and Museum

May 12, 2011
Seventh graders from Taft Middle School completed their study of the April 19, 1995, bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building with a visit to the Memorial and Museum today. Family members Barbara Williams and Sara Williams Sweet, and survivor Amy Petty provided First Person – Stories of Hope programs yesterday at Taft to prepare students for today’s visit. Following a tour of the Museum and a talk on the Outdoor Symbolic Memorial, students had lunch on the grounds before returning to school. A group of Taft students participated in this year’s OKC Memorial Marathon.
