Students Experience Oklahoma History
and the Oklahoma Standard

May 12, 2011

A total of 2,412 students from 35 schools in Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas have learned about the impact of violence, the senselessness of choosing violence to solve problems, the importance of personal responsibility, and the value of hope by taking a field trip to the Memorial and Museum this week. Fourteen of the groups experienced a First Person program.

A visit to the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum changes lives! Grants are available for student admission, and lesson plans and resources are offered on our website.

  • Great for kids to see this exhibit first hand. So many were not born or were very young and need to see this important part of Oklahoma history and American history
Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School, Kingfisher, OK
  • It is a part of our history not to be missed – a sad, yet hopeful experience.
Charles Page High School, Sand Springs, OK
