MUSEUM DESIGNERS GIVE ORIGINAL350 MEMBER TASK FORCE AND DONORS TOUR OF CHANGES COMING TO OKC NATIONAL MEMORIAL MUSEUM

Memorial officials announced tonight the half-way point in their $15 million campaign has been reached. Approximately $5 million of those dollars is being raised for the capital improvements will go to fund the changes in the Memorial Museum. Tonight’s announcement puts the campaign at $7.5 million.

This announcement came as the Memorial Museum designers Patrick Gallagher and Michal Carr from Washington, D.C., gave tours of the changes along with architect Hans Butzer and technologist Alan Brawn, to the original 350 member Task Force that helped create the Memorial and Museum and donors who have helped fund the privately supported Memorial and Museum and the 9:03 Fund Campaign.

New donors announced tonight include:

Chickasaw Nation added an additional $1,000,000 for a total of $2,000,000
Mabee Foundation, Tulsa, $500,000 matching grant
SandRidge Energy $250,000
Bank of Oklahoma & George Kaiser Family Foundation $250,000
Puterbaugh Foundation, McAlester, $160,000
Lance & Linda Benham $100,000
Linda Lambert Family $25,000
Gary, Myrla and Nicholas Pierson $20,000
Raymond H. & Bonnie B. Hefner Family Fund $15,000
Traci Cook $15,000
Percy & Becky Kirk $10,000
Hardy, Kari, Ford & Caroline Watkins $10,000

These donors join three other $1,000,000 donors including Devon Energy, E.L. & Thelma Gaylord Foundation and Polly and Larry Nichols and a host of other generous gifts.
