Memorial Marathon Has Record Participation

More than 14,000 runners from 49 states and five foreign countries took part in five race events during the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon, Sunday, April 29.

Men's Full Marathon winner was Niklas Kroehn from Villach, Austria, with a time of 2:37:38. Women's Full Marathon winner was Amanda Luksettich from Richmond, Virginia, with a time of 3:11:31.

Thanks to over 4,000 volunteers and the tens of thousands of spectators who made all the runners feel welcome.

Presenting sponsors for the Marathon events include Devon Energy Corporation – Memorial Marathon; Chesapeake Energy Corporation and Farmers Insurance Group – Memorial Half-Marathon; FedEx – Memorial Marathon Relay; Oklahoma AARP – Memorial 5K Walk; and The Oklahoman – Memorial Kids Marathon.
