OKLAHOMA CITY NATIONAL MEMORIAL & MUSEUM OFFERS FREE ADMISSION FOR MOTHERS
Moms get in free to Memorial Museum with paid admission, Sunday, May 13
OKLAHOMA CITY — To honor mothers everywhere, the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum will provide free admission to all mothers accompanying their family to the Memorial Museum, Sunday, May 13.
“Mother’s Day is a day to bring families together, and we know this gathering often provides an opportunity for families to experience places and events they may not normally have the time to do on their own,” said Kari Watkins, executive director. “We wanted to give back to this community that has given so much to us by giving mothers the chance to share this powerful place of hope and resilience with their own families.”
Other downtown Oklahoma City attractions providing free admission for mothers this Mother’s Day include the Oklahoma City Museum of Art and the Myriad Botanical Gardens and Crystal Bridge.
The Outdoor Symbolic Memorial is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and is free of charge. Admission to the Memorial Museum is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors and $6 for students. The Memorial Museum will be open Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Ticket sales end at 5 p.m.
The Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum was created to honor those who were killed, those who survived and those changed forever by the 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. The Memorial and Museum are dedicated to educating visitors about the impact of violence, informing about events surrounding the bombing, and inspiring hope and healing through lessons learned by those affected.
