Memorial & Museum Celebrates 10th Birthday with Free Museum Day As part of the Museum’s 10th birthday celebration, admission will be free this Saturday courtesy of Devon Energy

WHO: Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum

WHAT: Free museum day and birthday party

Starting at noon Saturday, enjoy a professionally-designed cake from Platt College’s Pastry Arts Program, Borden Dairy ice cream, Congressman James Lankford’s first visit to the Memorial Museum and a visit from Oklahoma City Thunder mascot Rumble the Bison. Admission will be free, compliments of Devon Energy.

Starting at 1 p.m., listen to the Museum Builders tell their stories in a special first-person program including survivor Richard Williams, family member Jeannine Gist, rescuers Maj. Ed Hill and Retired Fire Chief Gary Marrs. Other speakers include John Richels, Chairman of the Oklahoma City National Memorial Foundation, and community leaders Sue Hale, Cheryl Vaught, Bob Johnson, Karen Luke, Rowland Denman, Hardy Watkins and Kari Watkins.

WHEN: Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. (press opportunity at noon). Live shots available in the Museum throughout the day for stand-ups, cut-ins or live newscasts WHERE: 620 N. Harvey Ave., downtown Oklahoma City Parking for news vehicles is available on NW 6th Street. Mult box and press hookup available to the room for presentations
