The Oklahoma State Centennial Parade will showcase the state’s past, present and extraordinary future in Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade-style. To help welcome Oklahomans and other visitors, the Oklahoma City National Memorial Museum will open early at 9 a.m. The Museum will close for the duration of the parade beginning at 1:30 p.m. and re-open following the parade at 4 p.m. “We welcome Oklahomans and their families coming downtown for the parade to experience the updates we’ve made  in the last few months, and look forward to showing off the incredible hope and resilience of this community and state to all parade-goers,” said Memorial & Museum Executive Director Kari Watkins. “The Centennial is all about the spirit of this great state and the story this Museum tells is indicative of the strength and spirit of Oklahomans.” Recent updates to the Memorial Museum include adaption of the award-winning Behind The Scene: The OK Bomb Investigation special exhibit into permanent display, and adding information on the state trial in McAlester and the judge who presided, Justice Steven Taylor, as well as information on Memorial programs including the Memorial Marathon and the Memorial’s Reflections of Hope Award to the final chapter in the Museum exhibit.
