Day of Remembrance

April 19, 2008
We thank those who attended Saturday's ceremony and showed that hope survives.
We gathered on the Outdoor Symbolic Memorial site to remember those who were killed, those who survived and those changed forever by the April 19, 1995, bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. Oklahoma City National Memorial Foundation Chairman Burns Hargis, Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry and ABC Anchor Bob Woodruff addressed the attendees. Jami Smith's singing of the National Anthem and Faith in You were inspiring. Siblings of those who were killed read the names of each person lost in the bombing.
Following the Remembrance Ceremony, the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum hosted its annual National Media Symposium, featuring ABC Anchor Bob Woodruff and his wife Lee, who will discussed Surviving Together. Hosted by Burns Hargis and Jessica Schambach the Symposium was aired on KOCO.
