Remembrance Ceremony
April 19th - 9:00 a.m.

This year marks the 15th Anniversary of the day the world began to look at terrorism differently. On this important day, Monday, April 19th, a Remembrance Ceremony will begin at 9:00 a.m. on the grounds of the Memorial. The ceremony will feature Ford Bell, the President of American Association of Museums, to discuss the importance of remembrance and using objects to teach history for the generations.

 

 

 

National Media Symposium
April 19th - 1:30 p.m.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano will participate in a panel discussion about the media's role in informing the public about terrorism. She will be joined on the panel by Mark Halperin, Editor-at-Large, TIME, and well known correspondent Mike Boettcher for The Public's Right to Know? This coincides with our special exhibit, Reporting Terrorism. The Symposium will be held in the Oklahoma City National Memorial Center for Education & Outreach on April 19, at 1:30 p.m. Seating is limited; don't miss this dynamic trio giving us this insight into how news is delivered.

 

 

Cox Community Day

Visitors wanting to tour the Museum may do so for FREE on April 19th, thanks to Cox Communications as part of Cox Community Day from 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
