Ten years ago on February 19, 2001, the Memorial Museum was dedicated. This Saturday, February 19, we are celebrating the accomplishments of telling this story for the past decade. Come inside and learn the impact of violence and why comfort, strength, hope and serenity have played such an important part of our healing in Oklahoma City.
- 12:00p.m.
Join us for Birthday Cake made by the students at Platt College, Pastry Arts Program and Borden Dairy Ice Cream and a terrific coffee bar. Congressman James Lankford and Oklahoma City Thunder mascot Rumble the Bison will kick off the party. - 1:00 p.m.
Listen to the Museum Builders tell their story in their special First Person program. A dozen members of the community that served on the Memorial Foundation Board met weekly to make the Museum a reality. It is an amazing story of community that you will find inspiring.
