Doug Band is a founding partner and President of Teneo Holdings, a global advisory firm employing 200 experienced professionals in 13 global offices.
Band served as chief advisor to National Advisory Board member, President Bill Clinton, from 2002-2012, advising him as Counselor to the President. Band helped create and build the Clinton Global Initiative, which convenes global leaders to create and implement solutions to the world’s most pressing needs. CGI has raised billions of dollars for philanthropic initiatives around the world. Speaking of Band, President Clinton said, “I couldn’t have achieved half of what I have in my post presidency without Doug Band. Doug is my Counselor and a board member of the Clinton Global Initiative, which was created at his suggestion. He tirelessly works to support the expansion of CGI’s activities and my other foundation work around the world.”
Doug Band graduated from the University of Florida and later received a master’s and law degrees from Georgetown University, where he currently serves on the board of regents. He is also a professor at NYU Wagner and member of the Coca-Cola Company’s International Advisory Board. Additionally, he has served on the New York City Football Club Board of Directors, the USA Bid Committee Board of Directors, the Vote Vets Board of Advisors, and as a trustee on the Boy’s Club of NY, the First Tee of NY, and the Center for American Progress.
