Reflections of Hope Recipient Tours Memorial & Museum

May 12, 2013
2013 Reflections of Hope Award Recipient Ziauddin Yousafzai tours the Museum today with Executive Director Kari Watkins. He and his daughter Malala are being honored for their work in promoting education to young girls in Pakistan. Malala was shot in the head and neck by the Taliban in an attempt to try to stop girls from being educated.
Yousafzai helped place their nameplate on the perpetual Reflections of Hope Award housed in the Oklahoma City National Memorial Museum today.
The award is given annually to a person or organization that is teaching hope in the midst of political violence.
