COMMUNITY HEALING

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and the nation enveloped a shocked and grieving community with its collective love and support. The healing began at 9:03 a.m., when moments after the explosion, co-workers, friends, families and strangers ran into the crumbling building to help. The healing continues today through the ongoing spirit of guardianship and compassion shown to the Memorial and those who were killed, those who survived and those changed forever.

Still today, the Memorial hosts family member, survivor, and rescue worker reunions and events both locally, and via online webstreams. Several members of these constituent groups attend the annual Memorial Marathon, and speak to Museum visitors in First Person: Stories of Hope programs.
