Plan Your Field Trip



The Oklahoma City National Memorial welcomes school groups from across the United States to visit the Memorial Museum and the Outdoor Symbolic Memorial. We encourage you to make your plans early, as reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
To facilitate the reservation process, you may complete the online reservation form.
To make a reservation by phone, please call the Group Tours specialist at 405.235.3313 and have the following information available:
- Day/date of visit (with alternate dates)
- Arrival time
- Grade level(s) of students
- School name, mailing address, phone and fax number, e-mail address
- Name of person in charge of group
- Number of students in group (must have 15 students min. for group rate)
- Number of teachers/chaperones
- Payment method - payment is made upon arrival and is based on final number in group
National Park Service Rangers are available to give site orientation talks about the Outdoor Symbolic Memorial to student groups. You may request a site orientation talk by completing the Group Reservation Form.
Admission
School groups with fifteen (15) or more students will receive a discounted group admission rate when reservations are made in advance.
School Group Rates with Advance Reservations:
Student (Grades 1-12) $5.00
One Adult Chaperone Free per 7 students
Additional Adults $9.00
School groups wishing to apply for grant funding to help cover the costs of student visits to the Memorial Museum can apply for the General Educational Enrichment Grant application.
The group leader should make one payment at the ticket desk for the entire group. Please have an exact count of students, adult chaperones and additional adults upon check-in. Payment may be made by school check, school purchase order, cash or credit card (VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express).
Special Programming
First Person: Stories of Hope
Let your group hear from a survivor, family member or rescue worker as they share the poignant stories of how tragedy was turned to hope in this 30-45 minutes program. Available by appointment.
Preserving History: Treasures from the Memorial Archives
Presented by the Memorial’s Collections Manager, this program allows participants to experience firsthand the thousands of artifacts in the Museum’s collection and highlights the methods used to care for them. Available by appointment.
Performance Opportunities
The Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum welcomes groups to perform for visitors under the Survivor Tree on the grounds of the Outdoor Symbolic Memorial. Choirs or bands who wish to perform may do so at no charge with advanced reservation. Song selection must be pre-approved by Memorial staff prior to performance. Sound equipment, chairs and/or podium are available for an additional charge.

Curriculum
The Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum's educational programming is dedicated to teaching about the impact of violence, the senselessness of using violence to effect change, and the importance of personal responsibility. These lessons can be incorporated into all disciplines and are effective in crosscurricular planning. Our programs are designed to meet national educational standards. We can also work with you to create or customize curriculum for your specific lessons or projects.
Museum Etiquette
Please do not bring food, drinks, gum or candy in the Museum. Cell phones and pagers should be respectfully silenced
School groups may bring sack lunches that may be eaten while visiting the Outdoor Symbolic Memorial grounds. Please bring trash bags for disposal of your group’s trash. Unattended containers will be picked up by security. No unattended bags or coolers are permitted on Memorial Grounds or in the Memorial Museum. You should leave your coolers/lunches on your bus until your group is ready to eat.
Buses
Buses may unload/load visitors on Robinson or Harvey (in designated loading/unloading zones), but must park on NW 7th Street, between Harvey and Robinson (in designated bus parking zone)
