Collection Burks, Ron (Arlo) Collection
Description This is the nameplate for Sgt. Major Arlo, rescue dog of the Oklahoma City Police Department. Arlo's handler was Sgt. Ron Burks.

Sgt. Major Arlo and Gunney of the Oklahoma City Police Department rescued the last three recovered bodies from the imploded Murrah Building - Christy Rosas, Virginia Thompson and Alvin Justus.
Sgt. Major Arlo was a German Shepherd, born in 1988. He worked with Sgt. Ron Burks for eight years. He retired in 1997. Arlo was a patrol/drug/cadaver dog.
