Mark Ghilarducci discusses safety issues during the rescue and recovery process; managing media perceptions; Jon Hansen, Gary Marrs, James Lee Witt; FEMA; conflict between preserving the crime scene and recovering victims; convergent volunteers, Rebecca Anderson; transitioning to recovery efforts, downsizing; bonds formed in Oklahoma City.

Christopher Reilly discusses learning about the explosion, seeing reports on television, activation of his USAR Team; coming to Oklahoma City, seeing the building; preparations, reconnaissance, initial briefings; going to work in the Murrah Building; conditions in the building; support from the community; the nature of injuries in building collapses; fatigue; impact of the bomb blast on the building; conditions in the rescue and recovery work; children; the individual lives of the victims.
