Discusses the rescue and recovery effort, avoiding the emotional side, waiting to fall apart, depending on each other, teamwork within the USAR Teams and the OCFD; conditions during the recovery, maintaining safety of the workers; bomb scare; support personnel; needing to see jobs through, coordinating with other shifts; morale, feeling that the job would never end; working inside the building; reflections on his children; children, finding bodies in the rubble; bomb scare; seeing McVeigh in court; evacuating the building, conflict with rescuers; perceptions in rescue and recovery; recovering victims; health concerns, dystentery; biohazards.
