Description This a videotaped interview with Acting Chief Edward Stinnette of the Fairfax Fire & Rescue, VATF1. He discusses April 19, 1995, learning about the bombing from television reports, members of his team that had been deployed to OKC; activation by FEMA on April 23, 1995; devastation of the building and the surrounding area; joining the recovery effort; working nights, psychological impact; looking after the safety of the rescuers; teamwork, coordination with shifts; Incident Command System, Chief Marrs; Mike Tamilo, briefings; safety of the USAR Teams; structural integrity of the building; weather conditions; Myriad hospitality center; dealing with the community; capabilities of the USAR Team; critical incident stress; switching from rescue to recovery.
