This a videotaped interview with Jerry Flowers of the Oklahoma City Police Department. It continues the interview from 3844.94.
Jerry Flowers discusses the effects of the blast on the building, entering the south side of the building, entering the daycare center, finding a young girl, digging through the daycare center, leaving the building, meeting his brother, feeling that he had not done anything to help, difficulty in walking away from the building, foreignness of the scene, inability to conceive of an American taking this action against other Americans, investigating the bombing, learning his neighbor was in the building, being with his sons, feeling a need to go back to the Murrah Building, helping his children to understand the repercussions of violence, the American legal system, sacredness of the Murrah site, heinousness of the act, Rebecca Anderson, self-sacrifice, normal people volunteering and getting involved in the rescue effort, support from the community ("The Oklahoma Dollar"), memorial service, testifying about Aaron Coverdale and meeting his grandmother, being consoled by Mrs. Coverdale.
