| This drawing features images and names of rescue dogs. Written on the picture are the messages "Thank you for saving all those people! Love ya!, From Kayla Hardin," "Thanks for your hard work, I appreciate you. Clay Tangner." At the bottom left is attached a piece of rose rock and white paper which reads "Oklahoma Rose Rock, Natural crystal of barite and formed in a narrow strip of sand located in central Oklahoma. Iron oxide in the sand caused the reddish color. It is the State Rock. Thanks for helping us!" Also attached is a card with an image of a dog the words "Hoffman Estates Police Department." Also present is a picture of the rescue dog "Duck" with a police officer. Across the bottom are four black and white prints of dogs - "Nathos," "Iany," "Allie," and "Argo." At the center of the rainbow is a piece of peppermint candy wrapped in cellophane and at the right edge of the rainbow is a white plastic paper wrapper with gold print that reads "Aflac." Glued to the right center edge is string of plastic beads on yellow yarn glued to white paper with the message "Circle of Hope, Circle we've made will never end - - our hearts will mend. You've give us hope to help us through so we'd like to say THANK YOU!" It is signed in green marker: "Villa Teresa School." Taped to back is a piece of blue paper with the poem "One More Second," written by Rebecca Goldman, a 7th grade student at Brink Jr. High of Moore, Oklahoma, after school on April 19, 1995. This piece comes from the Oklahoma Historical Society collection. |
