This poem reads: "Oklahoma City 'In The Face of Tragedy' O The O is for Oklahoma City, The most loving place to live, K The K is for their kindness, Displayed when it was time to give. L The L represents the love each showed, When tragedy struck their town, A The A is for Amazing Grace, Which every heart has found. H The H represents the hope As Oklahomans we put to the test. O The O is for all of the officials, Who did their very best, M The M is for mothers, Whose children were taken that day, A The A is for admiration, For those heroes who decided to stay, C The C is for the courage, Shown by every woman and man. I The I represents inseparability, When people needed a hand, T The T is for the tragedy, We will never comprehend. Y And The Y is for young babies, Whose short lives were brought to an end. He will swallow up death forever. The sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces.' Isaiah 25:8"
Copies of this poem were given to rescue workers, families and survivors, and dignitaries at the First Anniversary Reception at the Myriad.
