Collection Oklahoma City National Memorial - First Anniversary
Date 1996
Description This is a collection of items from the First Anniversary. The collection includes a gold pin that says "U.S. Customs Service, Remember Oklahoma City" around a seal in the middle. The pin is attached to a small photo of two children and a baby with two pieces of red ribbon. Text on the back of the photo reads "Andee, Taylor, and Alyssa Alaniz, 9-29-95, We Will Never Forget You! We love you Dad and Grandpa, Claude Medearis, July 6, 1953-Apr 19, 1995."

Also included is a bronze-colored Harley-Davidson pin with the word "Panhead" across the center.

Finally, a paper card was attached. The text reads "Claude, I'll Meet You When My Chores Are Through, A.M.L.J.R. Sharon." A celtic-style design with heart and birds is at the top left corner. Inside is written "With Love Always." "Claude Medearis, U.S. Customs Service" is written on the back.

These items came to the Oklahoma City National Memorial during the First Anniversary, April 19, 1996. Claude Medearis died in the U.S. Customs Office on the fifth floor of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building.
