Description
This item is actually a series of bicycles connected together so as to travel in a circle. It was used on the playground at the Murrah Building for children attending America's Kids Child Development Center. The circle is made of metal painted red connecting eight black vinyl seats and eight sets of red metal handle bars with black rubber handles. The wheels are painted red with black solid rubber tires and red plastic pedals. This piece survived the bombing along with the children's playhouse. The cycles show little bomb damage. They were stored by GSA on D level of the parking garage until 2000, when they were transferred to the Oklahoma City National Memorial for permanent storage and loan. The cycles were still in their full circle when received in the archives. They have been disassembled into two pieces for storage purposes. All attachments are stored with the cycles so that they may be reassembled as originally constructed.
