Description This videotape contains an interview with Dr. Tom Coniglione. He discusses his experiences on April 19, 1995, working at St. Anthony's Hospital, feeling the impact, people walking in to the hospital, learning that an explosion had occurred, people bringing in the injured; ambulances, severe injuries; doctors and nurses coming in to help; disaster plan, contingencies not planned for in the disaster plan; injuries, flying glass, broken glass in the hospital; the wave of survivors that never arrived; second bomb scare; the human side of treating the injured, helping families in search of loved ones, taking care of the logistical needs of the situation; disaster operations; triage; suspicions about those claiming to be physicians; media requests, treatment in interviews; preparing for disaster; the job done by the hospital after the bombing; the first week after.
