This videotape includes an interview with Carrie Hulsey, who worked as a reporter for KTOK, a talk radio station in Oklahoma City. She was in her car at the corner of 4th and Harvey when the bomb exploded. Carrie grabbed her tape and microphone and began recording. She discusses the events leading her to be near the Murrah Building immediately before the bombing, immediate impact of the blast, St. Joseph Catholic Church's stained glass, calling into the station and going on the air, immediate response of emergency personnel, reporting the story, second bomb scare, hiding to avoid the evacuation order, "satellite city," evacuation of 50 Penn Place, returning home, returning to work, daycare center, anecdotal references to survivors and rescuers, crime scene reporting versus human aspect, memorial service, law enforcement perspective, bombing as a turning point in her life, democracy and violence.
