| Abstract |
While the Museum was under construction, the staff decided to develop a book for children about the bombing that could be sold in the Memorial Store. This became "A Day to Remember." It was produced in a large size and is commonly referred to as the Big Book.
A group of psychologists and educators were brought together to develop the text. The drawings were done by Torrey Butzer.
This collection consists of the original drawings and layout for the text. The drawings are done with water colors on 20" x 16" white lightweight poster paper. The text is done on a lightweight tissue type paper in black carbon.
