Description
John Parker was one of the Daily Oklahoman's primary reporters on the Oklahoma City bombing until the trial was moved to Denver. At that point, John decided he did not want to put the strain on his family that coverage of the trial in Denver would impose. He became a backup for Nolan Clay and Penny Owen. This collection includes a letter from John Parker explaining his role in the bombing coverage and a letter to his boss requesting the opportunity to cover the trial (which he later declined to cover). It includes four notebooks, one courtroom pass, 3 ID badges, one audio tape and one pass to cover the visit of the McVeigh jurors.
