Description This videotape includes part of an interview with Don Alexander, minister of First Christian Church. The Family Assistance Center was located at First Christian Church.

Alexander discusses the morning of the bombing, feeling the concussion 10 miles away, finding out about the bombing, Judge Ralph Thompson's mother, trying to find a way to help, making food for the rescue/recovery workers, contacting the Red Cross, funeral homes, coordinating with the Medical Examiner's Office, setting up the Family Assistance Center, dealing with the media, volunteer clergy, coordinating family notification teams, Ray Blakeney, aid from restaurant associations, providing food to family members, involvement with the families, services and fellowship for the families, bringing pets, hope for survivors fades, not building false hopes, the idea of an active God, denominational differences after the bombing, the will of God, outpouring of support by people all over the world, symbolic response, volunteers, involvement as a healing mechanism, Week of Compassion, monetary gifts received at the church, unimportance of religious and denominational differences, finding meaning from the bombing.
